My approach
The natural garden
A living, balanced space that renews itself with the lightest of human touches.
I fell for the idea of the natural garden: biodiversity, balance and spontaneous beauty. Native plants, seasonal blooms, small insects, birds and pollinators all live in it side by side.
It favours a rough, flowering meadow over a shaved artificial lawn, it usually does without complex irrigation systems, and it needs no chemical treatments.
It is a place to live in and to respect, where every element — stones, wood, free-growing hedges, soft borders — helps build a sustainable ecosystem. It is also an edible garden, where you can safely gather wild herbs for a salad or for the kitchen.
Choosing a natural garden means accepting and enjoying its rhythms, its seasonal shifts, even its imperfections. It is a small act of love towards nature.

My name is Fulvio. I live in the Langhe, a place I love and chose for myself. I am a gardener by choice and by passion, with over twenty years of experience looking after green spaces.
My life in this trade began with the simple pleasure of working the soil with my hands, growing plants, watching things come into flower, listening to the quiet of a garden.
Gardening, to me, is not just a job but a way of living: work that brings together creativity, well-being and care for the environment.
I love imagining, designing and tending gardens that stir something in people, that improve the quality of their days, that offer beauty and shelter from the noise of everyday life.

Growing water scarcity is a real challenge, and it reaches more and more of Italy and of the world every year. It is a problem felt keenly by anyone who loves nature and wants to look after their own garden, while knowing how urgent it has become to protect our resources.

A Dry Garden is designed to live on very little water without giving up beauty, colour or variety of planting. It is a concrete, creative response to climate change and to the need to rethink green spaces in ecological terms.
